Your BHS Donations Explained

Have you ever wondered why, when public high schools in Washington State rank as some of the lowest nationally, why Bellevue High School and other high schools in the Bellevue School District rank some of the highest in the nation?

What is the secret behind the success of Bellevue High School?

Is purchasing a home in the area and enrolling my kid in Bellevue High School and other schools in the BSD all that I need to do to provide him/her with an excellent education? Or is it just the beginning?

What is my role as a parent in maintaining the high standard of excellence in this school and thus ensuring that the value of my property remains high?

Is public education really free?

On November 14, 2018, BHS parent Rossana Lin gave a talk addressing the above questions. Her talk really helped BHS parents old and new to understand how to support our student’s school, as well as our community. Per request from other parents who were not able to attend our PTSA General Meeting, we are posting the transcript of her talk below:
